Privacy Policy

Who we are

Wonder is the maker of the Wonder Phone, a kosher flip phone sold at wondersimple.com. This Privacy Policy explains how Wonder ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information from people who contact our customer support team ("you"). It applies to support.wondersimple.com, the in-phone Customer Support app, the Wonder Support chat widget on wondersimple.com, and any SMS or email you send us about your phone.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to answer your support question:

  • Your question — whatever you type, text, or speak to our support channels.
  • Your phone number — when you text our support number or fill out the contact form on the chat widget. We use it to reply to you and to recognize follow-up messages so we can continue the conversation in context.
  • Your name and email— only when you choose to provide them through the in-chat contact form, so a team member can reach out by email if SMS doesn’t suit you.
  • Your mailing address — only if you provide it (e.g., to receive a prepaid repair shipping label).
  • Conversation history — the messages between you and our support team or AI assistant, so we can review the conversation later if needed.
  • Standard technical metadata— IP address and basic device/browser info that any website sees when you visit. We don’t use third-party advertising trackers on our support site.

How we use that information

We use the information above only to:

  • Answer your support question and any follow-up questions.
  • Reach out by phone, SMS, or email when a team member needs to help with something the AI can’t resolve alone (a repair, a return, a custom order).
  • Improve the quality of our support: spotting common questions, fixing wrong answers in our knowledge base, and training our staff.
  • Keep our systems running and secure (e.g., abuse prevention, debugging).

SMS and mobile numbers — important

We do not share mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only to reply to your support inquiry. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not sold, rented, or transferred to anyone else.

When you text our support number, you are consenting to receive reply messages related to your support inquiry. You may receive multiple messages per conversation, typically one to five per support thread depending on how the question is resolved. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.

Sharing of information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only with the following kinds of recipients, and only as needed to deliver our support service:

  • Service providers who help us run the support system: hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), the AI model that drafts replies (Anthropic), our SMS provider (Telebroad), our outbound email provider (Resend), and our staff authentication (Clerk). Each is bound by its own privacy and security obligations and only processes data on our behalf.
  • Authorized Wonder repair dealers — if you ask us to forward your repair request to a specific dealer, we may share your name, phone number, and a description of the issue with that dealer.
  • Legal obligations — if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wonder, our customers, or others.

We never share data with advertising networks, data brokers, or any party for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep support conversations and contact details for as long as needed to answer follow-up questions and to improve our support quality, typically up to three years. You can request that we delete your data sooner by emailing us at the address below.

How we protect it

Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Access to back-office tools is restricted to authorized Wonder staff and requires per-person login. We log every staff-side change for audit.

Your choices

  • Stop SMS at any time — reply STOP to any text message from our support number.
  • Ask us what we have— email us and we’ll send you what data we hold tied to your phone number or email.
  • Ask us to delete it— same email; we’ll erase your conversation history and contact details, except where we’re required to keep them by law.
  • Correct it— let us know if anything is wrong and we’ll update it.

Children

Wonder Support is intended for adult customers. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has contacted us, email us and we’ll delete the record.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted here, with the effective date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
