The Add-Ons app is the catalog of optional extras you can install on your Wonder Phone. The same app also handles updates to a few of the core apps that ship with the phone (Messages, Notes, and Phone), so anytime there's a new version available you'll find it here.
Opening Add-Ons
Find the Add-Ons icon on your home screen — a small "+" mark on a folder. Open it and you'll see two sections:
- Add-ons to update — anything you already have installed that has a newer version available
- Add-ons you have — what's already installed
- Available to get — extras you can install if you'd like them
Add-ons available to install
This is the list as of today. Wonder adds and removes add-ons over time, so the exact set on your phone may differ — open the Add-Ons app to see what's currently offered.
- Unitconverter — Unit Converter. Handy for cooking measurements, weights, distances, etc.
- smsplus — See your text messages on your tablet and your computer.
- Gboard — A different keyboard experience, made by Google. An alternative to the built-in Wonder Phone keyboard.
- Musicolet — A powerful offline music player. Plays songs stored on the phone without an internet connection.
- Halachic Times — Sunrise, sunset, and daily time moments. Standalone halachic-times app (separate from the built-in Zmanim app).
- Tt9 — A T9 keyboard option for staff and users who prefer the classic numeric-keypad typing style.
How to install an add-on
Inside the Add-Ons app, tap the add-on you want. You'll see its size, version, and a short description. Tap Get to download and install. Once installed it shows up under "Add-ons you have" and behaves like any other app on the phone.
Updating add-ons
If a new version is available for something you have installed, it appears under Add-ons to update. Tap it to see what's changed, then tap Update. You can also remove an add-on you no longer want from the same screen.
Core apps that get updated here
You'll see Messages, Notes, and Phone under "Add-ons you have" even though they came pre-installed. That's by design — Wonder ships updates to these apps through the same Add-Ons channel, so improvements (better message search, new note-taking features, etc.) reach you without needing a full system update.
Troubleshooting Specific Add-Ons
Gboard speech-to-text feels slow. Gboard is a third-party app, so Wonder doesn't control its internals. Customers have reported that uninstalling and reinstalling Gboard from Settings > Add-Ons clears up the slowness in most cases.
