Welcome to your Wonder Phone. This page walks you through the first few minutes — turning the phone on, what the buttons do, and where everything lives on the home screen. Take it at your own pace.
What comes in the box
- The Wonder Phone (silver-grey outside, black inside)
- A charging cable
That's it. The phone is set up to work as soon as you put your SIM in and turn it on.
Turning the phone on
Hold the power button on the side of the phone for about three seconds until the screen lights up. The first boot takes about 30 seconds.
If nothing happens, the battery might be empty — plug it in for ten minutes and try again.
The home screen
After the phone boots, you'll see the home screen with your apps laid out in a grid. The apps that come on every Wonder Phone are:
- Home — the main screen
- Call — make and receive calls
- Voice — record voice notes
- Notes — write down anything you need to remember
- Calendar — events, reminders, and zmanim
- Files — anything you save on the phone
- Music — play songs you've transferred from a computer
- Clock — alarms, timer, stopwatch, world clock
- Camera — take photos
- Photos — view photos you've taken
- Calculator — for everyday math
- Zmanim — daily Jewish times tailored to your location
- Feedback — tell Wonder what you think or report an issue
- System Updater — install software updates
If you have a Talk+Text variant, you also have Messages for SMS. If you have the standard L'Maaseh-approved Wonder Phone, you also have Waze (navigation), Android Auto (use the phone in the car), and Weather.
The buttons
- The D-pad in the middle moves up / down / left / right between items.
- The center button selects whatever is highlighted.
- The two soft keys at the top of the keypad change what they do depending on the screen — labels appear right above them.
- The back button goes back one screen.
The screen is also touch — you can tap, swipe, or use the buttons. Whatever feels easier.
