Group messaging lets you send a single text to multiple people and carry on a conversation where all participants can reply. It is available on Talk & Text variants only:

  • Wonder Phone — Talk, Text & Features (L'Maaseh approved)
  • Wonder Star — Talk & Text (VAAD Hakehilos approved)

Talk & Features, Talk Only, and Wonder Star Talk Only variants do not include the Messages app, so group messaging is not available on those models.

Starting a Group Conversation

  1. Open the Messages app from the home screen.
  2. Select New Message (or the compose option).
  3. Add multiple recipients by entering phone numbers or selecting contacts one at a time.
  4. Type your message and press send.

All recipients will be part of the same conversation thread.

Adding People to an Existing Group

You can add new participants to a group conversation that is already underway. Open the group conversation, access the conversation options, and choose the option to add a contact.

What You Can See in a Group

  • Who sent each message — the sender's name or number appears alongside their message in the conversation.
  • Total participants — the Messages app shows the total number of people in each group.
  • Incoming message indicator — if a new group message arrives while you are already inside another conversation, an on-screen indicator will alert you.

Known Bug Affecting Group Messages

There is a currently open bug affecting group messages. Developers have identified the issue and a fix is in progress. If your group messages are behaving unexpectedly, this is a known issue — not a problem with your specific phone or account.

Searching Group Conversations

The Messages app includes a built-in search feature. You can search through group conversations and individual messages the same way you would with one-on-one threads.

Messages Not Loading

If group conversations are not loading or are showing an unread indicator that won't clear:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Messages > Storage & cache > Clear storage > OK.
  2. Re-open Messages and leave it open until all conversations finish loading — this may take a few minutes.
  3. Turning on Airplane mode while the app loads can also help.

Your messages are not deleted when you clear storage this way.
