The Wonder Phone includes a built-in Parental Control feature that lets a parent block specific apps and limit what a child can access on the phone. No additional software or outside service is needed — it is managed directly from the phone's settings.

Setting Up Parental Control

To access Parental Control for the first time:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Parent Control.
  2. Enter an email address you have access to.
  3. A verification code will be sent to that email.
  4. Enter the code on the phone to unlock the Parental Control settings.

Once verified, you can block individual apps or restrict features for the device.

Whitelisting Calls and Messages

The Whitelist feature — introduced in WonderOS v1.5.7 — lets you limit who can call or message the phone. Only contacts on the whitelist will be able to get through.

To enable it:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Parenting Control.
  2. Complete the same email verification process described above.
  3. Once inside, enable the Whitelist and add approved contacts.

Additional parental control options available as of v1.5.7 include:

  • Blocking MMS (picture messages)
  • A verification code option when blocking texts via parental control

Which Variants Have Parental Control

Parental Control is available on all Wonder Phone variants. Keep in mind that the feature set you can restrict depends on which model you have:

  • L'Maaseh-approved Wonder Phone (Talk+Text or Talk+Features): includes Waze, Android Auto, and Weather — all of which can be blocked via Parental Control.
  • Wonder Star (VAAD Hakehilos-approved): does not include Waze, Android Auto, or Weather by design — those features are simply not present on this model.

Making Sure Your Phone Is Up to Date

Parental Control was introduced in WonderOS v1.5.5. The Whitelist feature was added in v1.5.7. If you do not see these options in your settings, open the System Updater app to install the latest software.
