Picture messaging (MMS) lets you send and receive photos directly within a text conversation. It is available on Talk & Text variants only — the Wonder Phone — Talk, Text & Features (L'Maaseh approved) and the Wonder Star — Talk & Text (VAAD Hakehilos approved). If your phone is a Talk & Features, Talk Only, or Wonder Star Talk Only variant, MMS is not available and cannot be added.

Sending a Picture Message

  1. Open the Messages app from the home screen.
  2. Open an existing conversation or start a new one.
  3. Select the attachment option within the compose area.
  4. Choose a photo from the Photos app.
  5. Add any text you want to include, then press send.

You can send up to 10 pictures in a single message. Within a conversation, you can swipe between pictures seamlessly.

Receiving Picture Messages

Incoming picture messages arrive in the same conversation thread as regular text messages. If a photo message arrives while you are already inside a conversation, an on-screen indicator will alert you. Swipe down from the top of the screen — or long-press the Home key — to view notifications.

If a Picture Message Fails to Send

There is a known bug that can cause some picture messages to fail to send. The message is not actually blocked — it is a software issue.

Workaround: Open the Photos app, edit the picture (even a minor crop or adjustment), then go back to Messages, re-attach the edited version, and try sending again. This resolves the issue in many cases.

A fix is targeted for the next update. AT&T and T-Mobile users on older software versions may also have been affected by a separate MMS issue that was resolved in a prior update — make sure your phone is running the latest software via the System Updater app.

Pictures Received Half Gray or Half Blank

If received or transferred photos appear half gray or half blank, this typically happens when a large number of files are transferred at once (for example, over Bluetooth). The image data is intact — the display catches up on its own within a day or two. Restarting the phone speeds up the process.

Storage

The Wonder Phone has 16 GB of built-in storage. All photos — sent and received — are stored locally on the device. There is no cloud storage or online backup.
