Voicemail on the Wonder Phone is handled by your mobile carrier, not by the phone itself. This means setup, access, and management all depend on which carrier your SIM card is from.
Checking Your Voicemail
The standard way to access voicemail on any carrier is to press and hold the 1 key in the Call app. This dials your carrier's voicemail system directly. From there, your carrier's automated system will walk you through listening to, saving, and deleting messages.
If that does not connect you, check with your carrier for their specific voicemail access number — some carriers use a different shortcut or require you to dial a full number.
Setting Up Voicemail
First-time voicemail setup is also done through your carrier. Call your carrier's customer service line or dial into the voicemail system (hold the 1 key) and follow the prompts to record a greeting and set a PIN.
Troubleshooting Voicemail Problems
If voicemail is not working as expected — for example, you are not receiving notifications, messages are not playing, or you cannot access the system — this is almost always a carrier-side issue.
Start by contacting your carrier directly. They can verify that voicemail is enabled on your account and reset it if needed.
US Mobile / Verizon Users
If you are on US Mobile (Verizon network) and run into a voicemail issue, you can help Wonder's team investigate faster by running these two codes after the problem occurs:
- Dial *#*#1002#*#* — this saves a report on the device.
- Dial *#*#1003#*#* — this sends the report to Wonder automatically.
This gives Wonder's support team the diagnostic information needed to look into network-related issues on their end.
Improved Voicemail Syncing (Beta)
In beta now (v1.6.0.022): voicemail syncing is more reliable — the voicemail notification now stays until there are no more unread voicemails, and the phone is better about checking for new voicemail after a restart. This is rolling out to beta testers now and will reach all users in the next stable release — see Joining the Wonder Phone Beta Program.
Variant Notes
Voicemail works the same way across all Wonder Phone variants — the L'Maaseh-approved Wonder Phone and the VAAD Hakehilos-approved Wonder Star. Because voicemail is a carrier service accessed through the Call app, no variant-specific differences apply.
