When something goes wrong with your Wonder Phone, a few quick checks resolve most common problems. Work through the steps below before reaching out to support.

1. Restart the Phone

A restart clears temporary glitches and is the right first step for almost any issue — frozen screen, app not responding, slow performance, or pictures not appearing in the Gallery. Power the phone off completely, wait a few seconds, and power it back on.

2. Check for a Software Update

Many bugs are fixed in software updates. Open the System Updater app and check whether an update is available. Installing the latest version resolves a wide range of known issues. The current release is v1.6, which includes stability improvements, UI fixes, and a number of bug fixes across Messages, Camera, and core system functions.

3. Check the Known Issues List

Some problems are already known and being actively worked on. Current open issues include:

  • Picture messages not sending — editing the picture in the Gallery first sometimes allows it to send. A fix is targeted for the next update.
  • Doubled messages — a fix is in progress.
  • Pictures slow to appear in Gallery — restarting the phone speeds up indexing.
  • Screen flashing intermittently — a known side effect of a recent update; a fix is in progress.
  • Adaptive brightness not responding — a hardware issue affecting a specific batch of phones; replacement parts are expected shortly.
  • Weather inaccurate in some locations — reporting via the Feedback app helps prioritize a fix.

If your issue matches one of these, no further troubleshooting is needed — a fix is on the way.

4. Check Call Quality Specifically

If you are experiencing poor call quality or service issues, go to Settings > Network and internet > Mobile Network > Enhanced calling. If it is already off, turn it on and then back off again.

5. Check Whether It Is a Carrier Issue

Service problems — no signal, calls dropping, voicemail not working — are often carrier-related rather than a phone defect. Contact your carrier directly to rule out account or network issues on their end.

6. Check the Battery

If the phone will not turn on, the battery may be fully drained. Plug it in for at least ten minutes before attempting to power it on. If the battery no longer holds a charge, a replacement 2850 mAh battery is available for $25.99 at wondersimple.com.
