Every Wonder Phone model costs $399.99 and shares the same hardware: the same flip design, 3.5-inch screen, 2850 mAh battery, 21MP rear camera, and 16GB storage. The difference between models comes down to two things: which rabbinical authority approved it and which features are included.

The Two Product Lines

Wonder Phone is approved by L'Maaseh and includes the full feature set: calls, navigation (Waze), Android Auto, weather, and — depending on the variant — text messaging.

Wonder Star is approved by VAAD Hakehilos and follows a stricter standard. It does not include Waze, Android Auto, or weather. Like the Wonder Phone, it comes in variants with or without texting.

All four variants include the same core apps on every Wonder Phone: Call, Voice, Notes, Calendar, Files, Music, Clock, Camera, Photos, Calculator, Zmanim, Feedback, and System Updater.

How to Decide

Start with your community's standard. If your community or school requires VAAD Hakehilos approval, the Wonder Star is the correct choice. If L'Maaseh approval is accepted, either product line is available to you.

Then decide on texting. Both product lines offer a version with SMS/MMS messaging and a version without. If you need text messaging, choose a Talk & Text variant. If your standard requires no texting, choose a Talk-only or Talk & Features variant.

Navigation and weather matter if you drive. Waze, Android Auto, and weather are only available on the L'Maaseh-approved Wonder Phone. Neither Wonder Star variant includes them.

What No Model Includes

All Wonder Phone models — regardless of variant — have no internet browser, no email client, and no app store. This applies to every model across both product lines.
