If you've activated a new SIM and your data isn't working — but calls and texts do — the issue is almost always the APN settings. APN (Access Point Name) tells the phone how to connect to your carrier's mobile data network. The right values depend on which carrier you're with.

What an APN Is

The APN is the carrier-specific configuration that lets your phone connect to mobile data. When you activate a new SIM, the phone usually picks up the right APN automatically — but on some carriers, especially MVNOs (carriers that operate on another carrier's network), the APN has to be set manually.

If your data plan is active and you still don't have internet on your phone, the APN is the first thing to check.

Where to Find APN Settings

On the Wonder Phone:

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
  2. The list shows every APN currently configured on your phone. The active one has a dot or check next to it.
  3. To add a new APN, tap the menu (three dots) and select Add.
  4. To edit an existing APN, tap it.

AT&T

If you're an AT&T customer and your data isn't working, add a new APN with these values:

  • Name: AT&T
  • Profile Name: H2O
  • APN: PRODATA (all caps)
  • APN Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
  • MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
  • MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
  • MMS Port: 80
  • MCC: 310
  • MNC: 410 — use 280 if your SIM number starts with 8901280
  • Authentication Type: None
  • APN Type: default, mms, supl (no spaces)
  • APN Protocol: IPv4/IPv6

Leave all other fields blank, then tap Save.

After saving, return to the APN list and select the new AT&T APN so it becomes the active one. Then confirm mobile data is enabled (Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Networks > Mobile Data), and verify you still have data on your plan.

H2O Wireless

H2O is an MVNO on the AT&T network, so its APN settings overlap with AT&T's. If your H2O data has stopped working — particularly after the APN field was changed:

  1. Open the existing H2O APN under Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
  2. Change the APN field from RESELLER to PRODATA.
  3. If the change won't save, also update the MNC field to 280.
  4. Save the APN. If it doesn't apply right away, re-select it from the list.

For H2O Wi-Fi Calling setup, see Carrier Compatibility: Which Networks Work with the Wonder Phone — that's a separate one-time configuration that involves H2O customer service.

Other Carriers

The Wonder Phone supports 4G LTE, 3G, and 2G networks, so any carrier on those standards will work — but the exact APN values depend on the carrier. If your data isn't working on a carrier not listed above:

  1. Call your carrier first. They can confirm the SIM is active, your data plan is in good standing, and they'll have the correct APN values for their network. Their customer service line is the fastest source for accurate values.
  2. Check the carrier's support page online. Most carriers publish APN settings on their website's help section.
  3. Contact Wonder support if the values you've received from the carrier won't save on the phone, or the right APN is in place but data still isn't working.

When the APN Looks Right but Data Still Doesn't Work

If you've entered the correct APN and data still isn't working:

  • Restart the phone. Power off completely, wait a few seconds, then power on again. This forces the cellular connection to re-establish with the new settings.
  • Verify mobile data is enabled. Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Networks > Mobile Data should be on.
  • Confirm "Use SIM" is on. Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Use SIM should be enabled.
  • Check your carrier plan. Even with correct APN settings, data won't flow if your plan is expired, suspended, or out of data for the month. Only your carrier can confirm that.

Variants

APN settings work the same way across all four Wonder Phone variants — Wonder Phone (L'Maaseh-approved) and Wonder Star (VAAD Hakehilos-approved) alike. All variants use the same cellular hardware and the same Settings path described above.
