L'Maaseh is the rabbinical technology authority that approves the standard Wonder Phone product line. When a Wonder Phone carries L'Maaseh approval, it means the device and its feature set have been reviewed and sanctioned by L'Maaseh. You can verify the approval directly at lmaaseh.tech.
What L'Maaseh Approval Includes
The two L'Maaseh-approved variants are:
- Wonder Phone — Talk, Text & Features: Calls, SMS/MMS texting, Waze, Android Auto, and weather, plus all core apps.
- Wonder Phone — Talk & Features: The same feature set as above, but without text messaging.
Both variants include the full set of built-in apps: Call, Voice, Notes, Calendar, Files, Music, Clock, Camera, Photos, Calculator, Zmanim, Feedback, and System Updater.
How It Differs from VAAD Hakehilos Approval
The Wonder Star carries VAAD Hakehilos approval and follows a stricter standard. Wonder Star models do not include Waze, Android Auto, or weather — features that are exclusive to L'Maaseh-approved Wonder Phones. If your community or school requires VAAD Hakehilos approval, the Wonder Star is the appropriate choice regardless of which features you want.
What No Model Includes
Regardless of approval level, every Wonder Phone model has no internet browser, no email client, and no app store. This is by design across the entire product line.
Pricing and Where to Buy
Both L'Maaseh-approved variants are priced at $399.99 and are available at wondersimple.com or through authorized dealers in Monsey, Boro Park, Williamsburg, Monroe, Lakewood, and Montreal.
For a full side-by-side comparison of all four variants, see the Wonder Phone vs. Wonder Star article.
