Taking a screenshot on the Wonder Phone is one motion: hold the Home button and the lower volume button at the same time. The screen flashes briefly and the image is saved to the phone.
The key combo
- Hold the Home button (the square button in the middle of the call row).
- At the same time, hold the lower-volume button on the side of the phone.
- Release once you see the screen flash. The screenshot is captured.
If only one of the two buttons is pressed, nothing happens — both have to be held together.
Where screenshots are saved
Captured screenshots are saved to the Photos app, in a folder named Screenshots. Open the Photos app from the home screen, look for that folder, and your captures will be there in newest-first order.
In beta now (v1.6.0.022): when an SD card is inserted, screenshots save to the SD card when available.
If you want to send a screenshot to someone, you can attach it to a picture message from the Messages app the same way you would any other photo.
Currently available on the beta channel
Screenshot capture is currently available on the beta channel of WonderOS. If you're on the regular stable channel, the button combo will not yet take a screenshot for you. You can read more about how the beta channel works — including how features move from beta to general release — in Joining the Wonder Phone Beta Program.
If you would like to request screenshot support on your phone, the best route is to send a note via the Feedback app, which is pre-installed on every Wonder Phone. Feedback there reaches the Wonder team directly.
Wonder Star phones
Wonder Star (VAAD Hakehilos-approved) phones receive each WonderOS version on a separate schedule because every release must be approved by VAAD before it ships to Wonder Star — see VAAD Hakehilos Approval and the Wonder Star for the full context. Screenshot capture will reach Wonder Star phones the same way every other feature does: once it has cleared VAAD review.
