Android Auto is pre-installed on all L'Maaseh-approved Wonder Phone variants (Talk, Text & Features and Talk & Features). It is not included on the Wonder Star (VAAD Hakehilos-approved). If you own a Wonder Star, Android Auto is not available on that model.
What Android Auto Does
Android Auto connects your Wonder Phone to your car's built-in dashboard screen over a USB cable. Once connected, supported apps — including Waze — display on the larger car screen, making it easier to use navigation hands-free while driving.
How to Connect
- Connect your Wonder Phone to your car's USB port using a compatible cable.
- Your car's display should detect the phone and launch Android Auto automatically.
- From there, you can access Waze for turn-by-turn navigation directly on the dashboard screen.
Your car must have a built-in Android Auto-compatible display for this to work. Refer to your car's documentation to confirm compatibility.
Google Maps in Android Auto (Beta)
In beta now (v1.6.0.022): Android Auto adds Google Maps as a navigation option alongside Waze, and Android Auto is updated to the latest version. This is rolling out to beta testers now and will reach all users in the next stable release — see Joining the Wonder Phone Beta Program.
Adding Music to Android Auto
To enable access to additional music options within Android Auto:
- Go to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Android Auto > Version.
- Tap the version label on screen multiple times until a notification appears, then tap OK.
- Tap the three-dots menu and select Developer settings, then enable Unknown sources.
- To exit, tap the three-dots menu again and select Quit developer mode.
Troubleshooting
If Android Auto is not working correctly, clearing its stored data often resolves the issue:
- Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Android Auto > Storage & cache.
- Tap Clear storage, then tap OK.
- If the problem continues, dial *#*#9999#*#* on the keypad. This will update Android Auto and should resolve most remaining issues.
